A wild elephant has killed a tea factory employee in Nelliyalam village, gudalur near Ooty. The man was returning from his work at 10pm and an elephant emerged from the dark and killed the man. This sad incident is confirmed by the forest officers and Rupees 3 lakh compensation has been given by the government to the family.
