Stone House

Stone House, which is also called Kal-Bungalow is the official residence of the founder of Ooty John Sullivan. One of the interesting historical buildings in Ooty.

Raj Bhavan

Raj Bhavan was built in 1877 by the Duke of Buckingham when he was the Governor of Madras.

St. Stephen's Church

One of the oldest churches in the town. It was built in 1829 in a Gothic architectural style. St. Stephen’s Church is a Gothic Church and is best known for its formidable and stunning colonial architecture.

District Court

The district court with its unique clock tower which is one of the oldest in Tamil Nadu, was originally a part of Breeks Memorial School. It was established in the year 1874.

Collectorate

The present Ooty Collector Oofice is located in one of the heritage buildings.

Nilgiri Library

One of the oldest and finest public libraries in India. The age of the library is 153 years and opened in the year 1859. Now there are around 25,000 books is kept in the library.

Post Office

Post office was opened in Ooty during the year 1826. It was working in several places before moving to the present location. The office building is one of the heritage treasures in the town.

Government Arts College

This historical arts college is located across 10 acres campus. The famous Connamara cottage was placed inside the campus and part of the college building. G.U.Pope and Lord Macaulay were the notable people lived here.
