A tea estate worker aged 53 from Jharkhand was killed by a tiger in nearby Devarsolai, Gudalur Taluk in Ooty. The search is on for finding the tiger. Department has rushed up actions to catch the alleged man-eating tiger .As many as 40 individuals of the Special Task Force, Police and Forest Department are involved in the process to track the animal down.
